My Body

This body parts ESL lesson teaches head, shoulders, knees, toes and other essential vocabulary. Children sing, point, match words to a robot and follow Simon Says instructions. They design and label their own robot, become robots in a movement game and present the finished creation.

Lesson flow

Children point to their own body parts and sing along to Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, then complete a matching worksheet connecting words to robot body parts and play a Simon Says game. The second lesson has children draw and label their own robot, match parts again in a new worksheet, and become robots themselves in a movement game, finishing with a show-and-tell of their robot creation.
