Trick Or Treat
This Halloween ESL lesson teaches characters, costumes and the adjectives scary, funny and silly. Children make expressive faces, build a monster craft and describe it using 'I see...' and 'It's...' They create a costume accessory, roleplay Trick or Treat at pretend doors and finish with a costume show.

Lesson flow
Children practise scary, silly and sleepy faces, build a monster-face craft describing it ('This is a scary ghost!'), and play a guess-the-face flashcard game. The second lesson builds a costume accessory (bat wings, witch hat), roleplays 'Trick or treat!' at pretend doors, and plays a Halloween freeze-dance game, finishing with a costume show-and-share.
