My Favourite Colours
This favourite colours ESL lesson practises common colour words and the phrase 'I see something...'. Children sing a balloon song, trace and colour pictures, hunt for classroom objects and match balloons to characters. They name a favourite colour and create a matching balloon drawing to share.

Lesson flow
Children point to classroom objects and name their colours, then sing and act out a balloon song before tracing and colouring balloon strings and playing a colour hunt game. The second lesson practises 'I see something blue/pink' through video and worksheet activities, matching balloon colours to characters, and finishes with each child sharing their favourite colour and drawing a matching balloon.
